We propose an imaging method that uses volume holographic optical element (vHOE) as an encoder for compressive sensing of multiple field-of-view (FOV) images. In the proposed method, FOV-independent image encoding, multiplexing, and reconstruction of multi-FOV images are realized by the vHOE and the sparsity-based image reconstruction. The proposed method was physically implemented, and the principle was verified experimentally.
