The carrier dynamics of photo-excited Si is investigated by the optical
pump-THz-probe spectroscopy. We discussed the carrier dynamics from a
viewpoint of the change of the THz electric waveform caused by
photo-excitation. Negative delay of the transmitted terahertz pulse was
observed under the photo-excitation, and the obtained refractive index is
analyzed by using the Drude model by optical constants depended on the
carrier density.
