[19a-P6-12] Synthesis of CNT on Cu substrate by ACCVD and wear resistance measurement

A Ag plating is used at the contact area of the connectors used for electric vehicles and hybrid electric vehicles because Ag has a high electrical conductivity. However, Ag is easy to be shaved during insertion-extraction of the connector due to its low durability. Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are known to have high durability and high electrical conductivity. Therefore, we focused to use CNTs as a surface coating instead of Ag plating. In this work, we synthesized CNT on Cu substrate by Alcohol Catalytic Chemical Vapor Deposition and we observed surface structure and measured the wear resistance of CNT layer.
