[19p-A402-7] Sub-terahertz wave emission and detection properties of photoconductive antennas based on highly efficient InGaAs photoconductive layers for 1.5 μm excitation
Keywords:photoconductive antenna, terahertz wave, photoconductive layer
We have developed high-performance photoconductive antennas (PCAs) excited by 1.5 μm laser pulses to realize inexpensive THz imaging systems. We previously reported two types of InGaAs photoconductive layers optimized for the THz emitter and detector. In this study, to expand the use of THz imaging systems, we examined the PCAs operating at 0.1 THz band based on the two InGaAs photoconductive layers. The results showed that the PCAs using bow tie antennas as the emitter and detector had a higher dynamic range at the spectral peak (0.15 THz). The imaging will also be reported at the meeting.
