We have reported the periodic surface structure formation on 3Y-TZP (Yttria-stabilized tetragonal zirconia policrystal) with femtosecond lasers. The observed LIPSS lines were parallel to the linearly polarized light and the periods were comparable to or larger than the laser wavelength for the investigated laser wavelengths. In this presentation, double-pulse irradiation with different polarization combinations with adjustable relative fluences were carried out to investigate the LIPSS formation dynamics
