Keywords:laser electron acceleration, mid-infrared laser pulse

We discuss the feasibility of efficient laser electron acceleration driven by a mid-infrared laser pulse using particle-in-cell simulations. Even though the laser power of a 1.5 μm laser is one-third of that of a 0.8 μm laser and the normalized intensities are equal, quasi-monoenergetic electron beams with the similar peak energy are produced and the number of electrons of the 1.5 μm laser is 10 times that of the 0.8 μm laser.
