Observation of multistep reaction pathways is important to understand photoreaction mechanism. For the observation of multicolor multistep reaction pathways, we have developed a Fourier transform 2D transient absorption spectroscopy (FT-2DTAS) excited by white-light. In this report, the FT-2DTAS system was improved by introducing a laser pulse excitation in addition to the white light excitation, and we succeeded to observe the multistep reaction pathways of azobenzene derivatives by using the improved system.
