[19p-C304-6] Controllability of the Thermal Conductivity of Carbon-Nanotube Aggregates by Molecular Junctions
Keywords:carbon nanotube, composite, protein
We have been studying the reduction of thermal conductivity in CNT composites by inserting specially designed protein between CNTs and fabric-type thermoelectric generators using CNT/polymer composite threads. During the studies, we found not only that very low thermal conductivity is obtained by the protein junctions but also that some of the CNT composite threads exhibit extremely high thermal conductivity. In this presentation, we will focus on the possible upper and lower limits of the thermal conductivity of CNT composites by their composition and fabrication methods.
