Keywords:multiferroics, toroidal moment, second harmonic generation

Toroidal moment is one of the important order parameters of multiferroics. Toroidal moment breaks both space inversion symmetry and time reversal symmetry. We made permalloy triangle nanostructures, which realized spin vortex state. We succeeded in detecting toroidal moment induced by the vortex state, using magnetic second harmonic generation (MSHG). MSHG is the sensitive method to detect both space inversion symmetry breaking and time reversal symmetry breaking.
