It has been reported that the SrAlSi₄N₇:Eu²⁺ nitride phosphor emits red light under blue light irradiation. In this study, we synthesized a single crystal of CaAlSi₄N₇:Eu²⁺ which is isotypic structure of SrAlSi₄N₇:Eu²⁺. We report the results of single crystal X-ray structure analysis and fluorescence characteristic evaluation of this new nitride phophor.
