[19p-P7-6] Dependence of Cs/Rb ratio on Auger-free luminescence in Rb1-xCsxCaCl3
Keywords:Scintillator, Auger-free luminescence
Auger-free luminescence (AFL) is a radiative electronic transition between the valence band and the outermost core band. Since AFL is known to be a fast luminescence process, materials that exhibit AFL can potentially be applied as fast-response scintillators. However, the number of candidate materials that exhibit AFL is limited because AFL occurs in compounds having peculiar band structure. In this study, we aimed to achieve AFL in inorganic ternary mixed crystals, i.e., Rb1-xCsxCaCl3.
