[19p-P7-80] Thermal Neutron Flux Measurment using the Self-activation of a CsI scintillator

A neutron measurement method utilizing the self-activation of a CsI scintillator has been developed. A CsI scintillator was irradiated in the neutron radiography facility of Kindai University's research reactor (UTR-KINKI). The Cs-134m radioactivity generated in the scintillator was measured by the scintillator itself, and the thermal neutron flux was evaluated. The flux was similar to the one evaluated by using the conventional gold foil activation.
