[19p-P8-13] Preparation and characterization of core-shell zinc oxide nanoparticles
Keywords:nanoparticles
In this study, synthesis of nanoparticles and formation of silica shell on the surface were carried out for the control of the surface condition of zinc oxide nanoparticles. The shell formation increased the fluorescence intensity by a factor of about 2, and the zinc oxide nanoparticle surface was passivated. It was observed that the shell may grow either by layer or amorphous-like. We discuss the control of layered growth for improvement of core/shell interface.
