[20a-C103-3] Spinodal decomposition in oriented TiO₂-VO₂ films

Effects of epitaxial orientation on the spinodal decomposition in a TiO₂-VO₂ film are investigated. Spinodal decomposition does not occur in an (100) oriented film while it does in (001) and (101)-oriented films. The results are interpreted in terms of the lattice deformation due to the epitaxy of the films.
