One of the big challenge left for organic electronics is realization of current-induced semiconductor lasers. We have took on the challenge employing ambipolar field-effect transistor structure, which seems to be most promising among proposed device structure so far. As a result, we observed a gain narrowing of light emission from field-effect transistors by increasing a recombination current.
