[20a-F102-1] A novel catalyst for electrochemical water oxidation using Cu cluster as a precursor

Electrochemical water oxidation by Cu-based cluster was investigated. Linear sweep voltammetry revealed the lower overpotential of cluster catalysts than Cu, Cu2O and CuO particle coated electrode. Current-time depencdence for 24 hours revealed oxygen evolution with faraday efficiency of about 100 %. The actual catalyst was estimated to be fabricated during electrochemical measurements.
