[20a-F210-5] Observation of Absorption Edge and Electronic Structure Calculation of Rocksalt-structured MgxZn1-xO

Rocksalt-structured (RS-) MgxZn1-xO is a promising candidate for light-emitting-devices operating in far-UV (160-200 nm) and deep-UV (200-250 nm) spectral ranges. In this study, absorption edge was determined by optical measurement, and the MgO molar fraction x dependence of bandgap is discussed using the electronic structure obtained by the density functional theory calculations.
