[20a-P1-1] Spatial variation of electronic states and electrocatalytic performance of core- shell like Au-Ir nanoparticles prepared by femtosecond laser irradiation of aqueous solution

Highly intense femtosecond laser irradiation of aqueous solution produced Au-Ir bimetallic nanoparticles. XRD patterns and EDS elemental mappingreveald that alloy nanoparticles were not fabricated and core(Ir)-shell(Au) like nanoparticles were generated. Additionally, a part of core were exposed to the surface. Spatial variation of electronic states of nanoparticles were measured by EELS because it is expected that Au/Ir interface influence on the electronic state. EELS spectra revealed that electronic state depend on the analytical spot, indicating the spatial variation of electronic states.
