[20a-P7-23] Thin films of diamond nanoparticles by chemical adsorption on self-assembled monolayer

Thin films of diamond nanoparticles were prepared by chemical adsorption on the surfaces modified with SAMs. The SAMs having NH2- and COOH- terminal groups were effective in adsorbing the nanoparticles, while the SAM terminated with alkyl groups did not form an adsorbed film. The diamond nanoparticles adsorbed on the SAMs were also effective in enhancing electron injection from the aluminum electrode to the organic layer.
