By using π-conjugated polymers as the organic amines of organic-inorganic perovskites, interaction between organic and inorganic compounds will be induced, and new properties can be expected to be developed. In this study, in order to investigate the influence of the introduction of π-conjugated polymers, we evaluated the perovskites using polythiophene derivatives which are easy to control the optical properties. After complexing of lead halide and polythiophene with ammonium group, broad absorption based on π-π* transition of polythiophene derivatives as well as sharp exciton absorptions were observed. Formation of new crystal structures by complexation was confirmed by X-ray diffraction.
