▲ [20p-F104-11] Electroinduced 2D domain structure in novel controllable SAW device
Keywords:phonon crystal, electroinduced anisotropy, domain structure
Novel surfaced acoustic wave (SAW) device on the base of an electroinduced 2D domain structure was proposed. The device consists of the acoustic delay line with the kind of controllable an electroinduced acoustic metamaterial structure. This structure was induced due to linear electrostatic effect between four electrode structures which was arranged on the top and bottom surfaces of the ferroelectric waveguide. By applying different electric potentials to electrode fingers, the volume existed domain structures, which are the periodic impedance structures can be induced, and the structures have ability to switching. Due to the interaction between the acoustic wave and different structures induced, the following effects are expected, amplitude and phase switching, half wave length cutting, mixing and multiplexing, frequency and polarization effects. The domain formation process and SAW interaction features were studied theoretically, and the device samples with different parameters were fabricated and investigated experimentally. The discussed SAW device had high ability for advanced electronic application, and allow the new type on the base controllable and metamaterial structure SAW device to developing.
