[20p-F202-9] Observation of a Dissipative Structure during Glass Aging and the Definition of Temperature for Nonequilibrium Systems
Keywords:temperature, dissipative structure, nonequilibrium system
The length aging of an ultralow-expansion glass was measured for 1300 days. We found a spontaneous length contraction in addition to an usual length aging. This spontaneous cntraction is considered to be a dissipative structure proposed by Prigogine. Acooding to the analisis of the dissipative structure observed, I define the temperature in the steady state of nonequilibrium systems.
