[20p-P4-10] Water-repellent Plastic Films by Roll-to-roll Plasma Treatment

Transparent PET films were modified using roll-to-roll plasma system to produce water-repellent surface. Our roll-to-roll system causing ion-bombardment to the films with tetrafluoromethane as the process gas formed fluoroalkyl group at the surface. Water contact angle of over 130 degree was obtained without deteriorating the transparency.
