[18a-E307-1] Study on Single-Walled Carbon Nanotube Growth from Ir Catalyst: Dependence on Catalyst Thickness

We performed single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) growth by CVD using Ir catalyst. When the thickness of Ir is below 0.2 nm, small-diameter SWCNTs whose diameters were below ~1 nm were grown. On the other hand, SWCNT diameters were enlarged, when the thickness was above 0.2 nm. We will discuss the relationship between Ir catayst thickness and SWCNT diameter.
