△ [18a-PA3-8] Applying Lens-Added Motion Blur Compensation System with a Rotated Acrylic Cube for Capturing Higher-Speed Objects
Keywords:motion blur, convex lens, acrylic cube
A motion blur compensation system using a rotated acrylic cube to control optical axis made it possible to track moving objects in real time. However, this method requires higher angular velocity of the cube as the speed of the captured object gets higher. Hence, imaging objects from a camera moving with very high-speed, like an in-vehicle camera, was not easy to be realized. In this research, in order to apply this deblurring system to faster-moving objects, we introduce some convex lenses, which make the apparent size and velocity of images be smaller and reduce the required angular velocities of the rotated cube. We did actual experiments using an acrylic cube to show that the cube does not need to rotate in as high speed as required before without losing its quality of deblurring. The results show that our method expends the possibilities of capturing clear images in wider range of situations accompanied by moving objects with high speed.
