光周波数コムなどのファイバーレーザーの利得媒質としては、Er添加ファイバーがよく用いられている。Er添加ファイバーベースのレーザーは、安定性に優れる一方で光出力があまり強くないという特徴がある。そこで、本研究ではLiuらの提案した方法を用いて、高安定なEr添加ファイバーをベースとするモード同期レーザーを、Yb添加ファイバーを用いたファイバーアンプによって高出力化することを目的として研究を行った。
