Non-invasive wearable devices, which can continuously measure glucose concentration in sweat, are expected to be applied to diabetes treatment from the viewpoint of reducing the burden on patients and improving treatment efficiency. However, the devices reported in previous researches have a problem that the accumulation of ingredients due to sweat remaining in the sensing area decreases measurement accuracy. In this study, we report on a new wearable device for the accurate glucose monitoring that was fabricated by integrating electrochemical glucose sensor and microfluidic channel which discharges sweat.
