標識を用いない細胞識別技術は、基礎から応用まで様々な研究において有用である。本研究では狭窄構造を有するマイクロ流路を用いたイオン電流計測によって、一細胞分解能での非標識細胞識別を行った。一細胞の狭窄部通過はイオン電流のパルス的な応答として観測され、そのシグナルの解析によって血球系細胞とがん細胞が、生化学的な修飾を必要としない物理的指標から識別可能であることが示唆された。
