Layered structure oxides, the solid electrolyte La2/3-xLi3xTiO3(LLT) and the positive electrode material LiCoO2, are promising as materials for all solid-state lithium ion battery. The bulk single crystals were grown by the Traveling Solvent Floating Zone (TSFZ) method. In this presentation, the features of the TSFZ method and TSFZ growth of LLT and LiCoO2bulk single crystals will be discussed.
