A sensitized thermal cell (STC) is a new energy conversion system using thermal energy that imitates the system of dye-sensitized solar cells. In this system, the thermally excited carriers in the semiconductor promote the chemical reaction of ions in electrolyte. As a result, a small cell without cooling unit is realized because STC does not require any temperature difference. Recently, we reported power generation at 90℃ by Ag2S STC. This time, we aim at fabrication of a Ag2S flexible STC cell for utilization on curved surfaces such as piping.
