By using hν-dependent low energy photoemission spectroscopy , we have investigated the density of states of weak states such as gap states and excitation levels. In the measuremens, how to normalize the spectra by suppressing the hν depependence of photoionization crosssection is a problem. In the presentation, for the spectra of gold film, we will discuss the normalization method in relation to the results of photoelectron yield spectroscopy.
