Keywords:double magnetic tunnel junction, spin transfer torque switching, micromagnetic simulation

We investigated spin transfer torque switching performance of two types of double MTJ, with two fixed reference layers (RLs) and with one fixed and the other switchable RLs, was investigated using micromagnetic simulation at 300K. We found the latter MTJ exhibited a larger switching voltage in positive bias voltage than the former MTJ. This might be because the switchable RL is not stable magnetically and leads to a lower switching efficiency.
