[19a-E205-9] Direct observation of tip enhanced Terahertz waveform in Terahertz-induced scanning tunneling spectroscopy

We succeeded direct observation of terahertz near-field localized between a tip and a metal substrate in scanning tunneling microscope.
Experiments were conducted using a fiber laser amplifire (1035 nm, 309 fs, 1 MHz) where the fundamental light and a terahertz wave generated by a LiNbO3 crystal were entered to the tunnel junction simultaneously.
By considering the transient I-V curve of the photo-excited tunnel junction, we established to retrieve the waveform of the terahertz near-field.
