[19a-E208-5] [INVITED] superconducting artificial atoms towards quantum information processing
Keywords:quantum information, superconductivity
In a very-cold and low-noise environment, superconducting electric circuits have discrete energy eigenstates and behave as artificial atoms. Superconducting artificial atoms are used in superconducting quantum computers and in quantum-physics experiments that cannot be done using natural atoms. By using a superconducting flux qubit, one of superconducting artificial atoms, we have achieved so-called deep-strong coupling regime, where the coupling energy is comparable to or larger than the energies of the atom and the photon. Experimental results such as very large light shift will be presented.
