[19a-E317-1] Broadband solar light absorption by vanadium moth-eye structure

Keywords:solar light absorption, oblique deposition, moth-eye

A moth-eye structure based on metalic material has been proposed for efficient solar light absorption. It is expected that a surface reflection could be largely suppressed using the moth-eye structure because of a gradual change of reflactive index. We realized V moth-eye structures by improved oblique deposition using electron beam deposition method. The V moth-eye structures have high absorptivity over 95% in a wide wavelength range of 220-1500 nm.
