Keywords:SIS mixer, Up-converter, High-frequency amplifier

We focus on the frequency conversion gain of SIS mixers and consider its application to high frequency amplifiers. By connecting an SIS up-converter (from the microwave to millimeter-wave) and an SIS down-converter (from millimeter-wave to microwave) in series with gain in both converters, a low-noise and low-power-consumption high-frequency amplifier can be obtained. This time, we established a characterization system for the SIS up-converter alone and observed the gain.
