This work is a theoretical study combining several theories into a scheme for improving the output of Thermo-Photo-Voltaic (TPV) Selective Emitters (SE) based on specialized grey body dielectric materials by adding microstructures (scattering, emitting, and absorbing semi-transparent micro-spheres in an absorbing and emitting semi-transparent layered host media) which work within the body of the SE to refine its surface output spectrum. Hypothetical materials were modeled using a combination of theories and open source codes (Mie scattering and Radiative Transfer) to produce output spectra. The results show that the techniques theorized here may significantly alter the output spectra of a SE.
