Radiative cooling attracts much attentions because it can cool objects to ambient temperature without power consumption. However, conventional radiative cooling devices are lack of temperature-feedback mechanisms, resulting in excessive cooling regardless of ambient temperature. Here we propose a self-adaptive radiative cooling device, that can switch the cooling performance depending on the ambient temperature by using Si-based Mie resonators and vanadium dioxide which exhibits phase change property. Since the structure proposed here is semitransparent in the visible region, it can be applied to windows and solar cells.
