Organic-inorganic layered perovskite compounds composed of long-chain alkylamines and lead halides have been attracting much attention as optical materials because of their excellent light-absorbing ability and light-emitting properties. When chiral ammine is introduced to perovskite compounds, circular polarization properties such as circular dichroism (CD) are exhibited. In this study, control of absorption and CD was examined by changing halogen species of the perovskite compounds using chiral ammines. The S-MBAPbI4-nBrn films prepared from chiral S-MBAI with PbI2 and PbBr2 showed excitonic absorption peak, which was blue-shifted in the proportion to Br content. The S-MBAPbI4-nBrn (n = 0, 1) films showed CD around exciton absorption region.
