In this study, we incorporated the membrane protein bacteriorhodopsin (bR) into a giant unilamellar vesicle (GUV) and evaluated the influence of bR function expression on the membrane dynamics characteristics from a microscope. In addition, from the comparison in different lipid systems, we aimed to clarify the relationship between membrane protein function depends on the molecular level interaction between bR and lipid and GUV membrane dynamics characteristics of μm size. In the future, we will expand the target to mechanosensors, etc. and help to elucidate the molecular mechanism by which cells sense mechanical stress.
