We focused on the fact that the surface current distribution in the mesa can be inferred from the polarization of the emitted electromagnetic wave, and we conceived to measure the Stokes parameters that specify the polarization state and to identify the inter-mesa synchronization state. To do this, we constructed a measurement system in which a wire grid polarizer (WGP) and a quarter-wave plate (QWP) were placed between the oscillator and the detector, and measured the single and parallel operation of the mesa structure.
