Fe2Mo3O8 (FMO), a multiferroic compound have attracted attensions because of its large magnetoelectric effect. However, its magnetic transition temperature (TC) is as low as 60 K. In our previous speech, we have shown that TC in FMO thin films is 230 K. In this study, we report on scanning transmission electron microscopy, X-ray magnetic circular dichroism, and first-principles calculations in order to elucidate the mechanism of enhancement of TC.
