We have already reported that optically-anisotropic nanosheets are generated at the air/water interface when an aqueous colloidal solution of detonation nanodiamond (DND) was injected in water beneath the monolayer of arachidic acid (C20) formed at the interface. However, the amount of the nanosheet at the interface is not large enough to fabricate the multi-layered structure. Here we report on fabrications of the multi-layered hybrid system of C20 and DND.
