We demonstrated a structured-light sensing system based on non-mechanical VCSEL beam scanner to measure target that is placed 3~5m away from CMOS sensor. Lateral resolution points of 100 and resolution angle of 0.12 were achieved through our system. At 5m, the depth wobbling accuracy remained less than 40mm even if the output power of beam scanner was reduced to 10mW. The source of wobbling was considered to be speckle noise, which is also discussed in the paper. Through the experiment, it potentially shows the advantages of high accuracy, low power consumption, low cost, and free optics for our system.
