Since barium borate glass can form microspheres of 10 to 50 μm in diameter using phase separation and can confine light inside, it is potentially used for microsphere optical devices with high emission efficiency due to high refractive index (n= 1.76). If barium borate glass is doped with Sn2 +, Cu+, it is expected to have broadband light emission characteristics. In this study, we have tried to prepare barium borate glass samples doped with 0.1 mol% of Cu2Oand varying amount of Sn2 +. The appearance and luminescence intensity of the glass were compared and examined. As a result, when the amount of Sn2+was increased, the yellowish white emission intensity became stronger. It was also suggested that the amount of Sn2 +changes the kind of emission centers.
