The electronic noise generator is one of necessary components in the development of bio-mimicking molecular devices. Herein, we describe a microscale noise generator, with self-doped polyaniline (SPAN) lines on SiO2/Si substrate. We found the SPAN thin molecular line patterns, which were fabricated by fountain pen lithography, generates the current noise by optical stimulation. The current fluctuation showed a white-like power spectral density in the frequency range of 1~25 Hz. We proposed the mechanism of the noise generation in which the hopping conduction in SPAN lines were modulated due to the local electrical field generated by photoinduced carrier generation-recombination at the SiO2/Si interface.
