Superconducting boron-doped diamond has high tolerance to acid and abrasion, and is expected to be applied to robust SQUID. We have demonstrated operation up to 10 K with the SQUID including the Josephson junctions formed on the fine trenches. In this work, in order to investigate the factor of Josephson junction formation, the Josephson junctions were fabricated on a shallow step, and the DC / AC Josephson effect was observed up to 8 K. Therefore, the importance of the step in forming the Josephson junctions were confirmed.
