It is possible to theoretically estimate the small signal gain of Pr-doped waterproof fluoride fiber (Pr: WPFGF), but its experimental verification has not been done so far. We report the measurement method of the small signal gain of Pr: WPFGF and its results, then we also discuss about the results.
