▲ [20a-PA3-1] Analytical Modeling of Vector Solitons in Fiber Lasers

Gaussian monocycle and doublet pulses are generated in a ring-cavity erbium-doped fiber laser from polarization-locked vector solitons consisting of bright and dark soliton pairs. Qualitative analysis of the vector soliton properties is performed by analytically solving the coupled complex Ginzburg-Landau equations to obtain the pulsewidths, chirping parameters, soliton amplitudes and intracavity birefringence.
