In this contribution, I will introduce a noble spectroscopic method to monitor inter-molecular interaction inside a living cell. We use noble metal nanowire as plasmonic waveguide to excite surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) through propagating plasmons. In such a way, Raman signal containing inter-molecular interaction inside live cells can be obtained without disturbing cell health. As an example, time evaluation of interaction between anti-cancer drug molecules and DNA will be discussed in this talk.
